As part of the Committee’s ongoing scrutiny of the work of the Government Office for Science, the committee was due to hear from four panels of witnesses on the subjects of science advice, the work of the Government Office for Science and the Triennial review of the research councils.
The first panel would have been an introductory session with Dr Tim Leunig, recently appointed departmental Chief Scientific Adviser for the Department for Education.
