Committee holds international conference on student visas.
The Home Affairs Committee and Regent's University are hosting an international conference on student visas on Thursday 23 October 2014.
After a period of strong growth, the number of non-EU students entering British universities has fallen over two consecutive years. The number of overseas students decreased by 4,595 in one year, the first fall in 29 years.
The joint conference will focus on these other issues including:
- The administration of student visas
- The economic benefits of overseas students
- How overseas students improve our research capabilities
- Post-graduation employment of international students

- Time: 10am - 4pm
- Attendees will include university representatives, employers, think-tanks, embassy officials, and UK and international policy makers.
