Purpose of session
On 9 September, the Committee will hold one of its regular oral evidence sessions with the Deputy Prime Minister. Subjects likely to be covered include the Government’s programme of political and constitutional reform, the coalition Government and collective responsibility, the recall of MPs, devolution and the referendum in Scotland, Parliament’s role in conflict decisions, local government, and fixed-term Parliaments.
