Capital Markets Union: EU Committee on Economic and Financial Affairs launches a new inquiry

The House of Lords EU Economic and Financial Affairs Sub-Committee has launched a new short inquiry into the European Commission’s proposals for a Capital Markets Union. During February, the Sub-Committee is hearing evidence from Lord Hill of Oareford, the EU Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union. It is also holding a seminar discussion with experts and practitioners in the field. The Committee will publish a short report as its response to the Commission’s forthcoming Green Paper in March 2015.
