Purpose of the session

The Liaison Committee is made up of the Chairs of other select committees, and questions the Prime Minister three times a year on matters of public policy. At this session, the last before the General Election the Prime Minister is questioned on:

  • Foreign affairs: countries affected by Islamist extremism; and Ukraine 
  • Capacity and flexibility of the Civil Service and the machinery of government
