UK Commissioner Lord Hill appears before Lords EU Committee

On 3 February 2015, the EU Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union, will appear before the House of Lords EU Economic and Financial Affairs Committee.

Commissioner Hill will be asked about his proposals for a Capital Markets Union, what does this involve? What are the problems that need to be addressed? What is the timetable for its introduction?

The Commissioner will also be asked about his other key priorities, about the Commission’s growth agenda and the European Investment Plan. He will also be asked about recent events, including the outcome of the Greek elections and the ECB’s decision to launch Quantitative Easing (QE).
