Purpose of the sessions
The first session will be the third in-person evidence session for the Committee’s inquiry into the UK’s relations with Hong Kong: 30 years after the Joint Declaration. It follows three formal evidence sessions held in Parliament in November and December, and three sessions with groups and individuals in Hong Kong conducted via video-link. The Committee will hear from Duncan Innes-Ker of the Economist Intelligence Unit and Dr Tim Pringle of SOAS, primarily on matters relating to Hong Kong’s economy.
This is the second evidence session for the Committee’s inquiry into The FCO’s performance and finances in 2013-14. The Committee will hear from British Council.
