Purpose of the session
The Committee hears from representatives from the Prison Reform Trust and the charity, Women in Prison, about the performance of Welsh prisons, facilities for female offenders in Wales, and the resettlement and rehabilitation of Welsh offenders.
The Committee also hears from Wales Governance Centre about Welsh offenders in English prisons, the new prison to be built in Wrexham, and co-ordination between the English and Welsh Governments.
