Lords to question Government Minister on science budget and strategy

On Tuesday 10 March the Government’s Science and Innovation Strategy will come under scrutiny by the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee.
Background
The Committee will put questions to Greg Clark MP, Minister for Universities, Science & Cities, on issues such as the timing of the strategy so close to an election with an unknown resource budget, how the £5.9bn capital budget will be spent, and whether departmental budget cuts have had any impact on research.

- How have the research budgets of Government departments been affected by the departmental budget cuts brought in since 2010?; and
- How will the Research Councils review, announced in December, differ from the recently completed triennial review?
