The House of Lords has today debated the second report of the Liaison Committee of the 2014-15 session. The review was published on 5 March.

Report

In its report, the Committee recommended the House appoints four ad hoc committees:

  • Sexual violence in conflict: the UK and global response (as a Select Committee on an international affairs subject)
  • National policy for the built environment
  • Social mobility for school leavers
  • Disability provisions of the Equality Act 2010 (post-legislative scrutiny)

It is expected that the motion for the appointment of these committees will be tabled early in the new Parliament.

Next meeting

The Committee will next meet at the beginning of the new Parliament.
