Purpose of the session

This session is a part of the Committee’s inquiry into UK military operations in Syria and Iraq. The Committee seeks to examine:

  • The military and political implications of the UK’s military involvement in Syria in operations against Daesh
  • The nature and capability of Daesh and Syrian Opposition
  • The impact of other external actors engaged in the conflict
