Strategic Defence and Security Review 2015 and the Army

The Defence Committee holds its first evidence session for its inquiry on the outcomes of the 2015 Strategic Defence and Security Review (SDSR) for the Army.

Purpose of the session

Areas the Committee seeks to examine with the Head of the Army include:

  • Progress in the delivery of the Army 2020 programme
  • What changes might yet be required in the Army to meet the requirements of the SDSR’s Joint Force 2025 plan, as well as other changing strategic circumstances
  • Funding for the Army
  • Personnel matters affecting both Regulars and Reservists
