The Committee on Standards holds its third evidence session on the review of the Code of Conduct and Guide to the Rules.

Purpose of the session
The session will focus on the experience of those most directly affected by the Code of Conduct. Issues to be covered may include:
- The principles behind the Code and the context in which they operate
- The application of the principles
- How Members use the Code and how the guidance could be improved
- Key questions from the Commissioner's ongoing review.
This evidence session is part of the Committee on Standards' programme of work which aims to ensure an open and informed discussion during the Parliamentary Commissioner's independent review of the Code of Conduct and the Guide to the Rules. Further evidence sessions and opportunities to contribute to the Committee's work in this area will be announced in due course.
