The Defence Committee hold a one-off oral evidence session on the situation in North East Asia following recent nuclear and missile tests by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Purpose of the session

The Committee will examine the development of North Korea’s nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programmes, the potential diplomatic and military options open to the United States and its allies in the region, and how the crisis on the Korean Peninsula might be resolved.
