The Business, Innovation and Skills Committee questions the Permanent Secretary and Directors of the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) on industrial strategy policy and consideration by BEIS of UK interests and responsibilities during Brexit negotiations.

Purpose of the session
The session covers:
- The Department's plans to meet its savings targets and how the industrial strategy policy will be formulated and implemented on a cross-Department basis.
- Britain's exit from the European Union, with regards to how BEIS is ensuring that the interests of businesses and the UK's climate change responsibilities are taken into account in the negotiation process.
