The Communities and Local Government Committee questions the Government on the planning proposals in Productivity Plan.

Background

The Communities and Local Government (CLG) Committee has written to Brandon Lewis MP, the Minister of State for Housing and Planning at the Department for Communities and Local Government, to ask a number of questions about the planning proposals announced in the Government's Productivity Plan, Fixing the Foundations.

Timetable

The Committee holds an evidence session with Mr Lewis on 7 September 2015 and welcomes suggestions for other questions on planning (in relation to the Productivity Plan) which may be put to the Housing and Planning Minister.

Government's Productivity Plan

Clive Betts, Chair of the CLG Committee, responded recently to the planning proposals included in the Government's Productivity Plan.

Deadline for submissions

Suggested questions should be submitted by 24 August 2015.

The Business, Innovation and Skills Committee has announced an inquiry into other aspects of the Government's proposals; details of the inquiry and how to submit evidence to it are on the BIS Committee's website.
