Chief Executive NHS England questioned on Adult Social Care

In the wake of daily news items warning of a crisis in adult social care, and how this is impacting on the NHS, the Communities and Local Government (CLG) Committee continue their inquiry into the financial sustainability of social care and the quality of care provided.

Purposes of the session

The CLG Committee explores questions around whether additional funding should be directed to the NHS or adult social care, how reduced social care budgets are affecting the NHS and examines issues around health and social care integration and Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs).
