Purpose of session
The session focusses on adult social care funding, including the factors causing budget pressures, the pros and cons of the council tax precept and the extent of councils' reliance of services on unpaid carers.
The Committee is also expected to examine how the financial situation impacts on local authorities' ability to assess and meet the needs of carers.
