Minister questioned on future of public parks

The Communities and Local Government Committee hears from Andrew Percy MP, the Minister responsible for parks. The session focuses on what the Department for Communities and Local Government is doing to support and protect parks throughout the UK and what role the Minister plays in those initiatives.

Purpose of the session

The Committee asks about leadership and coordination for parks planning and management at the national and local levels and about the impact of devolution on parks.

The Minister is questioned on the need to balance building more homes and protecting green spaces and about the use of data and benchmarking to support parks.
