Suitability of available housing
The session is the third in the inquiry and will include evidence from experts on the housing market before MPs question representatives from the Elderly Accommodation Counsel and the lending industry on advice and support to move and borrowing.
The inquiry is examining whether the housing on offer for older people is sufficiently available and suitable for their needs and, in doing so, consider how they wish to live.
The Committee will take into account the context of significant housing shortages, rising numbers of older people and pressures on health and social care.
