The Chairs of the Communities and Local Government Committee and Work and Pensions Committee write to the Housing Minister to express concerns about the Government's funding plans for supported housing, domestic violence refuges and Sheltered Rent.

The letter to Heather Wheeler (above) from Clive Betts and Frank Field comes following a Westminster Hall debate on Thursday 18 January held to consider the previous Committees' joint Report on the Future of Supported Housing, following an inquiry into the issue co-chaired by Helen Hayes and Richard Graham.

The Chairs call on the Government to reconsider its funding proposal for short-term supported housing provided for up to two years, introduce a new model of funding for domestic violence refuges and provide further details on how the new Sheltered Rent will work in practice.
