Brazil, Singapore and Latvia join 5 other Parliaments in the call for Mark Zuckerberg to give evidence to ‘International Grand Committee' on Disinformation and ‘fake news'

The ‘International Grand Committee' on Disinformation and ‘fake news' is offering Mark Zuckerberg CEO of Facebook the opportunity to give evidence over video link in a meeting which will unite representatives from eight Parliaments from across the world at the Houses of Parliament in London on 27th November.

- Brazilian, Singaporean and Latvian Parliaments join the Australian, Argentinian, Canadian Irish and UK Parliaments for unprecedented session on disinformation and ‘fake news'
- Mark Zuckerberg invited to give evidence over video link on 27th November as he is “not able to be in London.”
Representatives from Brazil, Singapore and Latvia will join Australia, Argentina, Canada, Ireland and members of the UK's Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee from the House of Commons.
The letter states:
“We believe that there are important issues to be discussed, and that you are the appropriate person to answer them. [Yesterday's] New York Times article raises further questions about how recent data breaches were allegedly dealt with within Facebook.”
The Committee expects a response by the 19th November.
