Angus Brendan MacNeil elected as Chair

Angus Brendan MacNeil has been elected as Chair of the Energy & Climate Change Committee. The secret ballot of all Members of Parliament closed at 5pm on Wednesday 17 June with votes counted under the Alternative Vote system.
The remaining members of the Committee will be nominated by the House in the coming weeks.
Angus MacNeil said:
"I am very pleased to have been nominated as Chair of the Energy and Climate Change Committee. I look forward to working with the other Members of the Committee once they have been appointed to scrutinise the work of the Department of Energy and Climate Change."
