Committee question Ofgem Chief Executive on Annual Report and Accounts

The Committee will hold a one-off session on Ofgem Annual Report and Accounts 2014-15. The session is an opportunity to question the regulator about its strategy, performance, spending, and any general topical issues.

Purpose of session

The hearing will examine a range of issues, including:

  • In light of the ongoing investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) into the energy market in Great Britain, what is Ofgem doing to promote competition?
  • What is the progress of the smart meter rollout?
  • What lessons have been learned from the introduction of the RIIO price-control framework for networks?
