The Energy and Climate Change Committee is taking evidence from the Department of Energy and Climate Change and Department for Transport on progress towards 2020 heat and transport targets.

Purpose of session

The session will explore a number of issues, including:

  • Progress towards 2020 heat and transport targets, including impacts of the EU referendum result
  • Impact of electrification and ‘green gas' on UK's grid infrastructure
  • Renewable transport fuels and the RTFO
  • The impact of the proposed RHI reforms
  • Concerns regarding sustainability of biofuels
