Focus of the session
The Committees consider the co-ordination between health and education services, the success of early intervention and prevention in schools and colleges and the impact of budget pressures. They also examine how far teachers should go to support children who are experiencing mental health problems and whether further training and skills are required.
The role of Ofsted and the influence of social media, including whether technology companies need to take more responsibility for cyberbullying and other online threats, are also scrutinised.
