Brexit and health: Jeremy Hunt replies to Chair

In December 2016 the Chair of the Committee, Dr Sarah Wollaston MP, wrote to the Secretary of State for Health, Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP asking for information about the process and resources that he has put in place to identify and secure health objectives within the Brexit negotiations. The Chair has received a reply.

Invitation to give evidence
The Secretary of State was sent an inventory of key issues which the Committee believes will have to be addressed by the Department of Health as Britain negotiates its exit from the EU.
The Chair invited the Secretary of State to attend the Committee on Tuesday 24 January to give evidence on his approach to Brexit negotiations and asked for a reply in advance of the hearing which would outline the resources within the Department of Health dedicated to Brexit.
The Secretary of State's response gives a brief outline of the Department of Health's approach to dealing with the demands of Brexit.
