Deposit of the Second Additional Provision (AP2) and dates for petitioning announced

Today the Secretary of State for Transport deposited a Second Additional Provision (AP2) to the High Speed Rail (West Midlands – Crewe) Bill.

The opportunity to petition against the proposals contained in the Second Additional Provision will begin shortly.

Petitions may be submitted against AP2 from 11am on Friday 15 February until 1pm on Friday 15 March 2019.

The purpose of the Bill is to provide statutory authority for the construction of Phase 2a of HS2, which is planned to run from Fradley in the West Midlands to Crewe. The Bill was published in July 2017.

Next stages

Once the petitioning period has closed the Programme Manager will contact those people, groups, businesses and organisations who have petitioned against AP2.
