Committee holds roundtable event with small charities

As part of its inquiry into the sustainability of the charity sector and the challenges of charity governance, the Committee held a roundtable event in Westminster with representatives of small charities.
Roundtable event
On Wednesday 23 November, the Committee held a roundtable event to hear the views of a wide range of small charities. There were approximately 20 attendees who visited Parliament to attend the session, representing a variety of charities, from those focusing on homelessness to others whose work focuses on families and communities.
Members of the Committee joined groups of charity representatives to discuss questions relating to the following themes:
- Funding and accountability
- Support and training
- Governance and trustees
