  • Do international comparisons suggest the UK model is sustainable?

In the second session questions focus on:

  • Are the NHS and social care systems sustainable over the long-term (2030 and beyond)?
  • How important is efficiency to the system's sustainability?
  • What is the difference between efficiency and productivity? When the two are confused, what are the long-term consequences for the future sustainability of the NHS?
  • How is NHS Improvement contributing to a more efficient and productive NHS in the long-term?
