Work with Parliament’s Heritage Collections
Parliament and the Restoration and Renewal Delivery Authority have launched a new way to work with us on the care and conservation of Parliament’s unique heritage collections.
The Collections Conservation Dynamic Purchasing System (CCDPS) makes bidding for parliamentary heritage collections care work more accessible and streamlined.
We're inviting skilled heritage professionals to apply to join the new dynamic purchasing system.
Once on the system, you’ll then be eligible to bid for work with both Parliament and the Restoration & Renewal (R&R) Programme.
Parliament's heritage collections and conservation work contracts
Parliament’s Heritage Collections are home to more than 26,000 objects that help us to understand the history of Parliament and tell its many stories. The unique collection comprises the Parliamentary Art Collection, the Historic Furniture and Decorative Arts Collection and the Architectural Fabric Collection.
Parliament and the Restoration and Renewal Delivery Authority plan to offer contracts to carry out day to day and programme-based conservation work across the Palace of Westminster and the Parliamentary estate. This work will support core heritage collections activity as well as informing planning for the restoration of the Palace of Westminster.
The Collections Conservation Dynamic Purchasing System (CCDPS)
The Collections Conservation Dynamic Purchasing System (CCDPS) makes bidding for work more accessible by streamlining the bidding process and creating a pre-qualified pool of suppliers that are automatically alerted to any new contract opportunity.
We are inviting skilled heritage professionals to apply to join the new dynamic purchasing system. Once on the system, you’ll then be eligible to bid for work with both Parliament and the R&R Programme. The system will continue to be open to new joiners throughout its lifetime, unlike traditional procurement systems which are not accessible to new entrants after a set period. Feedback will be provided to all who apply.

What does the CCDPS mean for contractors?
From February 2025 onwards Parliament will be changing the way it manages and awards heritage collections conservation contracts. The new CCDPS will provide contractors with access to core collections care work for both the Houses of Parliament Heritage Collections as well as collections survey activity for the Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Programme.
Existing contractors for Parliament
Existing contracts with Parliament will continue on their current terms until expiry. Looking ahead, new roles and opportunities will come through the new system and be available to apply for those registered on the CCDPS.
The administration and management of these contracts will be slightly different to those in the past. Our commitment to working with highly skilled professionals and to support small businesses stays the same. Contract Managers within the Houses of Parliament Heritage Collections team will continue to support existing contractors through to the end of any live contracts.
New roles and opportunities advertised on the new system will provide for the continued day-to-day care of the collections, as well as wider opportunities for which existing and new contractors who are registered on the CCDPS will be eligible to apply.
