Strike action impacting on access to Parliament suspended

Planned industrial action impacting on access to Parliament has been suspended.

The PCS Union, representing security staff at Parliament, have confirmed they have suspended industrial action that was due to impact on access to the Parliamentary Estate for visitors on the Wednesday 20th March.

Information on visiting Parliament (20th March)

All entrances across the Parliamentary Estate are open as normal for passholders and non-passholders, and the public galleries of both Houses are open to visitors. 

Next steps

Parliamentary security staff are valued members of the parliamentary community and over the coming days Parliamentary authorities will continue to engage constructively with the union to address outstanding concerns.
