UK Parliament’s shop partners with Yorkshire business to create a range of exclusive Parliamentary preserves
8 December 2022
UK Parliament’s official shop has partnered with Rosebud Preserves, a family-run preserve and pickle maker based in Healey, near Masham, to create a range of preserves inspired by the British countryside and traditional family recipes.
Founded by Swaledale native Elspeth Biltoft, several of Rosebud’s recipes have been handed down through her own family, 8 of which started as the base of the business. Drawing on her love of the countryside, appreciation of the seasons, respect for tradition and desire to perfect her preserve making skills, the Rosebud collection has now grown to over 50 preserves, including jams, marmalades, fruit and herb jellies, chutneys, pickles, relishes and mincemeat.
Rosebud’s roots are planted firmly in rural North Yorkshire - a large county with a rich diversity of fresh ingredients. Some of its most recent partnerships with local distilleries have inspired unique combinations of fruit and alcohol to create special jams and marmalades which have proved to be innovative and popular. But Rosebud Preserves also source fresh local and national ingredients from many parts of the UK – making their products a perfect partnership for the UK Parliament shop.
Founder Elspeth Biltoft said: "We are delighted to be one of several very diverse British companies to supply the Houses of Parliament and, like them, take pride in delivering the skills and traditions of our craft."
Rosebud Preserves are available to purchase from the Houses of Parliament Shop, both online and in their Westminster store.
