Visit UK Parliament this winter

Throughout the festive season a trip to the Houses of Parliament can be an unforgettable experience. Supported by a multimedia device, video and audio stories allow visitors to explore the iconic Palace of Westminster at their own pace, fully immersed in the history, art and architecture of the world-famous building.

The recently conserved clock faces of the Elizabeth Tower now welcomes visitors to the Parliamentary Estate before stepping into the centuries-old Westminster Hall.

From the historic Hall, visitors make their way through to the heart of the Palace, following in the footsteps of the monarch at The State Opening of Parliament in the grand rooms of the House of Lords, as well as standing inside some the familiar spaces people see on TV, such as Central Lobby, the House of Commons Chamber and House of Lords Chamber.

As part of their visit, attendees are informed about the inner workings of Parliament and discover how legislation is made.

Tickets for guided tours and self-guided multimedia tours are currently available on Saturdays and some weekdays from December to March. Members of the public looking to visit during December should book early to avoid disappointment.
