Membership of the UK Delegation
The UK Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe was appointed by Written Ministerial Statement to the House of Commons published on 20 January 2020.
Further changes to the membership of the Delegation were announced in a Written Answer on 22 January 2020, and in Written Statements on 3 and 16 June 2020, 13 January 2021, 12 January 2022, 13 June 2022, 20 December 2022, 22 February 2023, 8 and 16 January and 26 March 2024.
The party distribution aims to reflect the composition of the House of Commons. Members of the delegation, including former Members of Parliament, have a continuing mandate as members of the Parliamentary Assembly for up to six months after the date of a General Election.
