House of Lords Standards and Interests

The House of Lords Commissioners for Standards are responsible for the independent and impartial investigation of alleged breaches of the House of Lords Code of Conduct.

Members of the Lords can hold private events at the House of Lords, subject to rules agreed by the House on using the House of Lords refreshment and facilities services for private events.

The Committee for Privileges and Conduct has published a report providing guidance to members of the House of Lords on accepting gifts, benefits and hospitality.
