What we're doing to improve accessibility
To make UK Parliament's applications accessible we're:

How accessible is the House Papers app?
Parts of our app are not fully accessible. We've identified the below issues:
• Android Operating Systems cannot download papers
• Some buttons do not have textual components & cannot be read by screen readers
• Some tabs do not have headers
• App cannot be zoomed whist using voice over
• Colour contrast on some text is insufficient

We've prioritised our app updates based on analytics and data. We're working with our content and development teams to update our application.
How we tested this app
Our app was tested externally for compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines V2.1 level A and level AA using an accessibility specialist for WCAG 2.0 standards.

This statement was prepared on 01 May 2021.
Our apps are checked for accessibility on a regular basis. These tests are carried out by Parliament UK through manual and automated testing via a combination of tools for accessibility.
