Request Ref: F24-132

Date of Response: 13/03/2024

Request

A list of all instances of falling masonry or other external elements of the parliamentary estate recorded as being damaged in the last five years

Response

We have interpreted “last five years” in this instance to mean full calendar years, i.e. the period 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2023.

In the first instance, please note that the parliamentary estate is occupied by the House of Commons and House of Lords, which are two separate public authorities in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000. We therefore only hold information on falling masonry or external damage incidents which took place in areas of the parliamentary estate managed by the House of Commons, or where this cannot be disaggregated by House. If you wish to request information held by the House of Lords, you may wish to consider forwarding your request to them also; requests for information relating to the House of Lords should be directed to FOILORDS@parliament.uk.

This information is held by the House of Commons.

We hold a breakdown of all incidents of falling masonry or external damage to areas of the estate managed by the House of Commons in the time period specified (xlsx, 12KB).  [CSV (csv, 2KB)]
