Made affirmative is the term used to describe an SI that is made into law (signed by the minister) before Parliament has considered it, but that cannot remain law unless it is approved by Parliament within a certain time period (usually 28 or 40 sitting days).
Made affirmatives are less common than draft affirmatives. They are usually used then the Government requires an urgent change to the law.
