Toilets

Publicly accessible toilets are available throughout UK Parliament, including toilets with baby changing stations. Multi-cubicle toilet facilities are available in addition to single-cubicle accessible toilet facilities.

Accessible toilets

Accessible toilets are single-cubicle gender neutral toilets that provide additional space and privacy for individuals with a companion or caregiver.  Manual flush toilets are available for guests with sensory needs who need more control over the flushing process.

There are various publicly accessible places around the UK Parliament estate where accessible toilets are available:

Palace of Westminster

  • Ground floor - Westminster Hall, beyond the Jubilee Gift Shop
    - manual flush toilet; handrail, alarm cord, clinical waste bin, baby changing
  • Ground floor - Lower Centre Curtain Corridor
    - manual flush toilet; handrail, alarm cord, clinical waste bin
  • Principal floor - Lower Waiting Hall - a Changing Places toilet
    - manual flush peninuslar toilet; handrail, alarm cord, clinical waste bin, baby changing, height adjustable adult-sized changing bench and hoist

Portcullis House

  • 1st floor - south-west corner
    - manual flush toilet; handrail, alarm cord, clinical waste bin, baby changing
  • 1st floor - north-east corner
    - manual flush toilet; handrail, alarm cord, clinical waste bin, baby changing

Free period products

Period products for emergency use are available free of charge in selected female, accessible and gender-neutral toilets across the UK Parliament estate:

Palace of Westminster

  • Ground floor - Westminster Hall accessible toilet
  • Ground floor - Terrace Cafeteria gender-neutral toilet

Portcullis House

  • 1st floor - north-east corner accessible toilet
