Attlee Suite

The Attlee Suite is the largest commercial venue in the House of Commons and is located on the first floor in Portcullis House.

Eligibility

Members of Parliament can sponsor bookings in connection with their parliamentary duties. Staff of the House of Commons and staff of the Parliamentary Digital Service can sponsor bookings in connection with their work in Parliament. Bookings can only be made by the sponsor’s office, and on the understanding that the sponsor (or another Member) will be in attendance for the duration of the booking.

Personal or private events are not permitted in this venue.

Availability

The Attlee Suite is available for bookings from 8:30am to 9:00pm Monday through Thursday when the House is sitting. Fridays, non-sitting days and during recess the Attlee Suite is available 8:30am to 5:00pm.

It is not available weekends and bank holidays.

Internal Teams and Grant-in-Aid Organisations

Internal teams in the House of Commons and the Parliamentary Digital Service and grant-in-aid organisations (i.e. which receive funding from the House Administration Estimate) are exempt from room hire charges in the Attlee Suite so long as the booking is directly linked to their work in Parliament.

If a team facilitates a booking on behalf of an external individual or organisation a room hire charge would be payable.
