Arrival and deliveries

Where to go for your event

Please use Black Rod's Garden Entrance (entrance 11 on map), Monday to Friday, between 08:00 to 19:45 in the following event spaces:

  • Cholmondeley Room and Terrace
  • Attlee and Reid Room
  • Home Room and Terrace
  • River Room
  • Committee Room G (Ground Floor)

If a guided tour of Parliament has been organised for you prior to the event taking place, then you will need to go to Cromwell Green Entrance, unless told otherwise by the event organiser or Guided Tour Office.

Please use Cromwell Green Entrance, open 08:00 to 20:00, for the following reasons:

  • Attending an event in the Peers' Dining Room or Peers' Guest Room.
  • Attending a committee meeting in the Committee Corridor (not on Ground Floor) prior to your event.
  • Attending an event at any of event rooms looked after by our venue on the weekends.

Weekends

For all weekend events, please enter via the Cromwell Green Entrance (entrance 8 on map) which is open from 08:00 to 20:00. Black Rod's Garden Entrance is closed on the weekends, unless told otherwise by the Sales and Events Team.

Our venue is closed on sunday, our venue is only open on saturdays on the weekends.

Recess

Opening times of entrances in recess may vary. Please get in contact with the Sales and Events Team to check which public entrances are going to be open on the day of your event.

Event organisers are strongly advised to have event materials delivered to their event using CEVA Logistics. Event materials will be delivered in advance of your event and before the event organiser arrives at our venue by CEVA Logistics.

Event organisers are reminded that whilst we work closely with CEVA Logistics, CEVA Logistics are independent from our operation so one would need to directly contact them to arrange delivery and collection of event materials. The drop-off and collection point at the House of Lords is ‘Drop-off/collection point 32’ (used in conjunction with CEVA Logistics documentation).

If you are bringng a vehicle onto the Parliamentary Estate please refer to the archway dimensions document below to make sure your vehicle will be able to traverse under and through the archways. The document discloses the heights and widths (square dimensions) of arches in The Palace of Westminster and Outbuildings.
