Ministerial Question Time

Visitors from the UK and overseas are welcome to watch the business of the day in the Commons Chamber and the Lords Chamber. From Monday to Thursday both Houses start with questions to government ministers. This is known as 'Question Time'.

Question Time for ministers take about an hour in the Commons and up to 30 minutes in the Lords.

UK residents can contact their MP to request a ticket to watch Question Time, and requests can also be made to Peers for tickets to attend Question Time in the Lords.

Ministerial Question Time can be busy, so it may be advisable to obtain tickets in advance. Do note, however, that places could well be available on the day on a first come, first served basis.

Watching Question Time from the public galleries is free of charge for all visitors.

Visitors should enter via the Cromwell Green Entrance.
