Commons debates in Westminster Hall ('Westminster Hall debates')

MPs also debate in the Grand Committee Room just off Westminster Hall. Here they can raise issues which are important to them in a series of Backbench Member's general debates.

Times and availability

Entry is free of charge. Places are limited and visitors are admitted on a first come, first served basis.

Monday (if sitting): 4.30pm - 7.30pm 

Tuesday: 9.30am - 11.30am & 2.30pm - 5.30pm

Wednesday: 9.30am - 11.30am & 2.30pm - 5.30pm

Thursday: 1.30pm - 4.30pm

Finishing times in the afternoon may be later subject to business.

Arriving at Westminster

Westminster Hall debates take place in the Grand Committee Room which is located on the upper level off Westminster Hall. Step free access is available.

Visitors should enter the Palace of Westminster via the Cromwell Green Entrance. Visitor Assistants will be on hand to provide directions to the room.
