1918 Representation of the People Act

Universal manhood suffrage was the last of the Chartists' demands to be achieved, with the Representation of the People (Amendment) Act of 1918.  This gave the vote to all men over the age of 21.  It also gave certain women over the age of 30 the vote.  It was not until 1928 that men and women achieved equal voting rights.
