1832 Reform Act, unrolled

The 1832 Reform Act was an important step in the process of electoral reform.  It increased the representation of the middle classes, but did not extend the franchise to the working classes.

The small pieces of parchment stiched into the roll are amendments made as the Act passed through Parliament.
