Kings Norton railway carriages

Our group also investigated a suffragette action at Kings Norton railway station.

On the night of 15 March 1914, a number of railway coaches which had been left on a railway siding close to the station were set alight.  As there was difficulty obtaining sufficient water to fight the fire, the damage caused totalled £1,000.  A copy of ‘The Suffragist' was found nearby.
