Demonstration in Parliament Square

Report by the police to the Serjeant-at-Arms on a demonstration in Parliament Square on 21 November 1911 by the Women's Social and Political Union. Various people including 'Mrs Solomon the aged Suffragette' tried unsuccessfully to get into the Houses of Parliament.  It relates how 'a lamp was broken by the Clock Tower by a woman from the Street', and that 184 arrests were made for stone throwing and obstruction.
