Society of United Friars minute book
Minutes of a meeting held on the 21 November 1820 by the Society of United Friars, a philanthropic body which ran a soup kitchen for the poor in Norfolk. Elisha De Hague, one of the 1821 land tax commissioners, is recorded as attending this meeting, which discussed the work of the social reformer, Robert Owen, in New Lanark in Scotland.
