List of reporters working in the Chamber

Hansard reporters work in a rota known as the “list”, which shows the time at which each reporter is required in the Chamber for their “turn”—the portion of debate that they report. Hansard was short-staffed during the war, and on 10 December 1943, 10 reporters did the work of 12, with blank spaces and crossings-out on the list revealing a constant reallocation of duties and an increasing workload.
